About this ebook

"Shiva does not spell religion. Shiva spells responsibility -- our ability to take our very life process in our hands.''

-- Sadhguru

'Shi-va' is 'that which is not', a primordial emptiness; Shiva is also the first-ever yogi, Adiyogi, the one who first perceived this emptiness. Adiyogi is symbol and myth, historic figure and living presence, creator and destroyer, outlaw and ascetic, cosmic dancer and passionate lover, all at once.A book like no other, this extraordinary document is a tribute to Shiva, the Adiyogi, by a living yogi; a chronicle of the progenitor of mysticism by a contemporary mystic. Here science and philosophy merge seamlessly, so do silence and sound, question and answer--to capture the unspeakable enigma of Adiyogi in a spellbinding wave of words and ideas that will leave one entranced, transformed.

Amazing, first, this is not a religious tale book. It has nothing to do with any religion. Sadhguru explains details of adiyogi(Shiva) which u will not find anywhere. This book is narrated in the perspective of non believer( the author) asking details of magical being shiva(adiyogi) to Sadhguru..he explains details beautifully..you may have to read every chapter twice (atleast) to grasp the amount of knowledge Sadhguru pours. In every chapter he first explains the mythology story of Shiva and then explains real story..but still many of the real stories feel totally fictional. It's upto u if u want to believeit or not. I have learned so much of Shiva that I never knew all my life..and I still don't believe in him becoz that's what Sadhguru says...not to believe unless you experience shiva in your reality. I definitely recommend this book to all.. especially to non believers like me. It will surely change your perspective of universe that we know.

Absolutely amazing read. Very necesary for clearing up the confusions about our culture and tradition. Very recommended book to everyone who have interest to know abt our Sanatana Dharma. Read it multiple times if you do not get it at one shot. Such a complex phenomenon is describled in such a lucid way that any ordinary person can understand it. Absolutely amazing.
