This book is wildly different from the first. when I first read it I was underwhelmed. however, after reading the whole series, I see that this story is a critical piece of the puzzle. I appreciate the authors unique style of writing of how they jump from the future to the past. it makes the story that much more interesting as the plot unfolds.
