本書では，「江戸都ではなく東京都」，「東京人は標準語を話す」，「東京には芸能人が住んでいる」，「東京の人口は1番多い」，「大阪と東京は新聞社と都市銀行が共通している」，「阪神タイガースは強くなかった」，「大阪の店は閉店時間にシャッターが下りる」，「大阪市の面積は小さい」，「大阪圏の中心は3都市」など30の理由を挙げそして説明している。
タイトルは少し堅いけれども，内容は柔らかいです。
