Рассказ помещён в разделе «Фельетон».В 1905 году автор отредактировал текст рассказа и напечатал его под заглавием «Идиллия» в изданном товариществом «Знание» «Нижегородском сборнике», СПБ. 1905; издание 2-е, 1905; издание 3-е, 1906.В собрания сочинений рассказ не включался.Печатается по тексту первого издания «Нижегородского сборника».
