Signing in is now required for use - there is absolutely NO need for this. It had me unable to get images off my camera, even though I had done before, since I was in a remote location. This is a "feature" that serves(?) Canon, not the user. Update 1: Now sign in fails even though I DO have mob internet access. Update: I uninstalled the app and reinstalled - now it doesn't ask for sign in but hangs on connecting to the camera. After rebooting, it connected once, then lost the cxn and now fails.

Error saying "Camera Connect not connecting" frequently shows with both of my Android devices (Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 4 XL) every 5 seconds after selecting 'wait'. Despite that error, my phones are still connected with no issue and when I select 'wait' from that pop-up window, I can still continue to navigate in the app. When I'm transferring photos from the camera to my phone it would still transfer despite that pop-up window blocking.

Cannon now retroactively requires you sign into an account for some innane reason to use this app, despite all functionality being over local wifi and bluetooth connections for hardware you already own, so I hope you dont plan on taking photo shoots in places with no service or use a web browser other than google chrome to sign in. I'll be looking into alternatives or buying a BT remote. Hope they don't tack on a subscription fee too. "I am altering the deal, pray I don't alter it any further."
