I love this game's theme and feel, but that's if you can actually play it! If you lose one game you have to either pay or wait four hours just to immediately lose again. I can not progress at all in the league beyond tier 1 and it's frustrating! And judging by some of the other reviews, I'm not the only one who feels this way. You shouldn't have to pay 50 dollars (exaggerating...to a degree) just to play a couple of rummy games.

Dear Molly, we're glad you enjoy the app's styling and are sorry to hear you've had a run of bad luck. Please feel free to write to us for some strategy tips - playing Oklahoma, the longest mode, can also reduce the chances of losing due to your opponent getting a lucky hand.

This game really annoys me!!! Every single time my opponent throws it a card and then I pick up the exact same type from the pack! The random card generator doesn't seem to work well. The other frustrating thing is with kings. You hold out for as long as possible then as soon as you get rid of one the opponent throws one out. Noooo way were they holding on to it! You also get screwed quickly in the higher value games. They seem to get gin or less than ten in three pickups, it's just not fun.

Dear Pete, we're sorry to hear you've had a run of bad luck though it's important to note, our distribution algorithm ensures random dealing and is never influenced by the participating players. The algorithm also corresponds to normal distribution, meaning while players can get different strength hands, on average, all players are dealt to evenly.

Fun game and I like the looks of the app. I had to edit the review after we discovered something that seems to be very unfair and unlikely. My friend and me both paid for a "special offer", after that we experienced exactly the same: losses, losses, losses maybe over 10 in a row, very unlikely with random deals. I would not advise to pay for any offers, just play now and then.

I'm sorry to hear you feel this way, Carley. Please note though that the distribution of cards in Grand Gin Rummy is generated randomly and not influenced by players' experience levels, the table entry, nor whether or not they make in-app purchases. The same conditions apply to each player and it is always the same generator that deals the cards.
